Vendors of all types are wanted during the city of Greer’s Tunes in the Park concert series on the Promenade at Greer City, 301 E. Storytelling starts at 7 p.m., followed by a related craft. Tale Tale Tuesdays resumes with 30 minutes of stories and 30 minutes of crafts on Tuesdays through July 15 at the Cannon Centre, 204 Cannon St., Greer. The award is given to programs that show high student achievement in the areas of marching band, concert band, all-state band and region band, and solo and ensemble. The Greenville County school district has recognized the band program at Blue Ridge High School for being one of four band programs in the district that earned the South Carolina Band Directors Association Outstanding Performance Award, the highest possible award available to band programs in the state.
